I proposed to him...

I was in a bad mood and asked him when he was going to propose to me. He said "Do you know, you can ask me?" So I said "Fine then, will you marry me?" He said "maybe."

Three months later I was in a bad mood again, and we argued about children, and I guess I convinced him that we could handle it, because he started having a coughing fit, and choked in my ear "Yes, I will marry you."

While vacationing in Orlando, Florida with my fiance's family I got the surprise of a lifetime. Since I am such a Disney fanatic I was looking forward to the "MAGIC KINGDOM" on our second day of the trip. We first went to the Animal kingdom in which at the front gates (due to sept.11) security guards were searching bags. My boyfriend (fiance) grabbed my purse to take it through. Of course I didn't really think anything of it. When we made it to the Magic Kingdom he did the same thing. I started to think that he just liked carrying my purse. *laugh*

We all decided to split up and meet a little later that day. Little did I know they were all in on the plan.

Our first destination was Cindrella's castle. As we walked through the castle I was just in love with the area. My fiance took me to a little incove right beside the castle where he wanted to take my picture. After finishing of the film he asked me to get the other roll out of my purse. As I opened the case, in the top was this gorgeous ring. I looked up and he was down on one knee asking me to marry him.

I was so excited and hugged him. We called the rest of his family to meet back up with us where his mom was crying and proud. He had also made the plans to eat at the Cinderella's Royal Table just afterwards where we had a view of my absolute favorite place.

His mom commemorated the day by presenting us with a glass slipper engraved with our names and the date.

This was the most fantastic day of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The night before my birthday my fiance gave me a gift, but I didn't open it until the next day. When I opened it , it was a blender. I was happy about it because it was something that I wished for.

Later that evening we went out for dinner on Captiva Island when we got there the resturant didn't open until 5:30. We were right across from the beach so we decided to go and watch the sunset. We still had about 15min. before it would start to set, so we walked along the beach picking up shells. Then he asked me if I had ever seen sandfleas. I said no, so he tried to find some, but the ones we saw were dead. After that it was time for the sun to set so we watched.

When it was over we still had about 15 more minutes until dark . So he tried looking for some live sandfleas. He said the way you can tell is by looking for air bubbles in the sand. I got distracted by some birds, I started to watch them and the next thing I knew my fiance ran closer the the shoreline and started digging in the sand telling me he saw some air bubbles I went and squatted beside him and said, "What are you doing"? He had a clam shell in his hand, he handed it to me and pulled out a Swiss Army knife and said here you can open your first clam, I laughed a little and said okay.

So I tryed opening it and grabbed my finger. he took it and and opened it just a little and handed it back to me and when I opened it there it was, "The Ring." I started to giggle not believing my eyes and kept repeating oh! oh! I got weak at the knees and had to squat down and I just started to laugh, giggle and cry. I was sooooo surprised.

P.S. He actually went to the grocery store and bought the clam, boiled it and cleaned it out and sealed it w/ a little bit of caulk glue.

It was on Easter Sunday 2001. We had gone to my parents house to celebrate the Holiday. I had just bought a new car the week before and my fiance had brought my parents outside to see it, or so I thought. When they all came back into the house my mom got everyone together for a group picture, as she always does at family gatherings.

When the group picture was over, she said she wanted to take a picture of just my fiance and I. After the picture was taken I started to walk away. My fiance grabbed my hand and said that he had something to say. He then proceeded to get on one knee and propose. I can't even tell you what he said I was in such shock. He cried, I cried, and my whole family cried.

Later, I found out that he had taken my Dad outside to ask for my hand in marriage. I know that meant the world to my Dad, and it meant the world to me.

Our first date was at an Applebee's (the restaurant) a little over 3 years later we went on a date and I had no Idea that he was going to propose. We ate dinner and we were going out to the parking lot and he went to the passenger side door and I thought that he was giving me the hint that he wanted me to drive, but he opened the door then turned around and told me how much he loved me and stuff then got on his knee and proposed.

When we went to my house right after my family already knew he proposed because he asked my grandpa and family a week earlier. I can't believe everybody kept it a secret.

Chris and I knew we were going to get married I just didn't know when he'd finally be ready.

I overheard him with his cousin on the phone saying he withdrew all his savings from the bank. I flipped out on him because it was understood that money was towards our future together. He reassured me it was for a good reason...not knowing what he was up to I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

That weekend he took me to Montauk Point for a weekend getaway. Chris was always a romantic and such a kid at heart. After dinner we went for a walk on the beach. We spotted a bonfire ahead and he insisted we check it out.. When we reached it he said there's something written in the sand...I looked down and it said "Jennifer, will you marry me?"

Shocked, I turned to him crying he was on his knee with a beautiful ring that he spent his life savings on. Of course I said yes! It was the exact ring I had always wanted but never dreamed of actually getting. When I insisted it was too much he simply said your too beautiful for anything less. I couldn't believe it. I cannot wait to spend my life with him.
