Very secretly and well-planned, Isaac hand delivered an envelope to my home on June 9th, 2005.
Enclosed in the letter was a 3-page PowerPoint presentation titled 'A Day of Romance: Morning Invitation'. The invitation instructed me to arrive at a secret location on Friday June 10th at 8:00 am. Sure thing I arrived at the location on Friday morning and to my surprise my baby had a 1/2-day spa retreat at Elizabeth Arden Red Door awaiting me.
While I was enjoying my spa treatment, Isaac hand delivered a second invitation 'Afternoon Invitation'. Isaac had left money in the envelope for whatever I wanted. Thereafter, I went to my hair salon, which is where I received a third invitation 'Evening Invitation'.
The evening invitation was a night to remember. Isaac picked me up around 5:30 pm in his suit and tie and we boarded the 'Spirit of Washington' a mini-cruise along the Potomac River. It was a beautiful night with delicious food, wine and dancing all night long. Once the cruise was over there was a final invitation 'Moonlight Invitation'.
The invitation instructed me to blindfold myself. Once we got to the secret destination (VA Hilton), Isaac guided me to the hotel room and told me to remove the blindfold. He opened the door to the Honeymoon Suite and the room was romantically lighted with candles and a trail of red rose petals trailed from the door through the bedroom and master bath. The whirlpool Jacuzzi was filled with warm water and red rose petals. I was in AWE!
As I walked around the room, there was a note by a radio that instructed me to play CD track number 3. I pressed play and my favorite song by Jaheim 'As Long as I Live' began to play. Isaac took my hand and we started dancing and that's when Isaac began to express his love and desire to be with me forever. Before I could say a word, Isaac bent down on one knee and the proposal began. I was in shock I didn't know if I wanted to scream, cry or do both.
Once my baby finally got the ring out of his coat pocket (with a little struggle) and opened the box upside down (he was nervous), he asked if I would marry him. Although my 'YES' was a whisper (I was stricken by the beauty of the ring)...inside I was screaming YES! YES! YES!

Will and I were spending a snowy night together cuddling on the couch by the fire. He got up to go to the bathroom (actually to get the ring) and as he passed the window he said he saw something outside and asked me to come with him to go look in my backyard. Of course I said no, its freezing outside and I'm comfortable.
He can be very persuasive, so before I knew it I was pulling on my boots and coat to go outside.
He led me to a spot in my backyard that looked like it was on fire, which made no sense because it was covered in snow. As I got closer, I realized there were dozens of tea lights and rose petals in the snow that spelled out "Marry Me?" I was speechless, then he kneeled in the snow and pulled out the most beautiful ring I could imagine, and I didn't even help pick it out! It was a total surprise.
When we finally went back inside, there was champagne and roses on the table by the fireplace. It turned out his best friend helped him set up the whole thing - lighting the candles and running inside while we were outside, and of course taking pictures from the window. It was perfect.

I was home alone.
He came by himself, told me that his sister from the U.S.A. had came to visit and was waiting in the hotel room for us to come visit. I just got ready and went.
He pretended to have to go inside and get some CDs and he brought out this bag but I paid no attention.
When we arrived he went to the door pretending to knock but he opened it with a key and so we went inside. When I came to the door he told me to get something out of the car for him but I was anxious to get inside to see his sister because we were really close.
When I went inside the room was really dark and there were a bunch of candles and roses about the place and rose petals everywhere. He told me to follow the sound of his voice and he was in the bathroom. When I went in there the light was dim and there was a bath set up for us and rose petals were on top of it.
It was so amazing... we made our way to bed. On my pillow was a ring I wasn't really expecting all of this I thought that was the end of it all and there was no more to the story.
I was wrong so he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and of course I said yes.

My fiance and I met on the Internet. I was almost 16 and he was 18. Even though we knew each other from an online game we slowly began to fall in love with each other.
Later we exchanged Yahoo! screen names and we started talking on the webcam and microphone. We started getting serious with each other and then he planned on meeting me in real life. In the game he said he was going to work extra hours that way he can buy me a gift. I joked around and said if its an engagement ring I accept your proposal.
The next day we were hanging around playing the game together and he mentioned something about a secret he wanted to tell me. But I had to log out because my parents put me on a 10 p.m. bed time.
The next day one of his friends tried to commit suicide. After I calmed him down we joked around a little and I told him that he was going to pursue his goals. He said or else what...you're going to spank me. I said fine I'll spank you but 30 years from now when you are still alive. And so I changed my MSN screen name so it said don't forget our deal Christian.
When my fiance came home he complained that he wasn't feeling well. Then he asked me what was the deal. When I told him he was furious. He told me that now he really didn't feel well.
I stopped him from logging off and explained to him that it was a joke. He then said he had to tell me a secret but wanted to tell me on the phone rather than on the instant messenger. His voice was a little shaky. And he mumbled something. All I heard was *mumble mumble* I said Huh? He said Serene will you marry me? I was just totally shocked. He explained how much I meant to him and how I made him the happiest person alive. He explained how he told his mom how he was going to propose to me. I was just shocked. And said yes yes yes. Then he got excited and put me on the phone with his mother.
He said that he was planning on waiting 'till he met me to propose but couldn't wait. He said that he was feeling ill about it and when he came home and saw that I made a promise to dress up in a school girl outfit and spank his friend with a ruler he panicked. He has the ring now and is planning on proposing to me randomly again this summer when he meets me in person.

My boyfriend and I have been going out for five and a half years. We decided to go fishing on this lake, about a six-hour drive from where we live.
We drove to a cabin on the lake and first thing, he says, "Let's go fishing." Well, I wanted to put the food away. I said "I will meet you down at the dock."
When I got to the dock he was sitting in his chair with his pole in his hand, my pole was laying on the dock with the line in the water. He said "I think you had a bite you better check your bait." I picked up my pole and on my line was a heart--a circle--a heart--a circle--a heart (they were cut out of a pop can).
I was shocked and didn't know what it was. He said, "Well read it." The first heart said "you caught the big one" the second heart said "I love you" the third heart said "will you marry me?" and the ring was attached to the line. I was so shocked, that was the last thing I expected, I just stood there.
He finally said, "Well say something like YES or NO or its too small I'm throwing it back."
Well of course I said YES.
