I went on vacation with my fiancé's family for Thanksgiving (we get along real well), and my fiancé could not go because of work. The vacation took place in Hawaii. Our second day there I went sight seeing with his mom and sister while his dad and brother stayed back and golfed. On our way back to the condo that we were staying at, his dad contacted us and said to meet at the pool bar for drinks. So we did.

I arrived at the bar and did not even see my fiancé sitting there. I walked right past him on my way to where his sister was standing. As I turned around, he was standing in front of me with a ring...I was shocked, amazed, excited and a little scared...needless to say, I said yes!!!

He totally surprised me. He had this planned for months and had the ring since August.

It was 2 days before Christmas and [my fiancé] & I went out to dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Old Town San Diego. After dinner he suggested we go for a walk which I thought was unusual since he was not the "go for a romantic walk" type.

It was freezing outside so we went into a shop to look around and he didn't want to look around so we sat down on a bench right outside the shop. He started getting all mushy and stuff and he got off the bench and reached down toward his sock (that's where the ring was). At this point I just knew what was going to happen. He got down on one knee and told me that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and asked me to marry him! I threw my arms around him and hugged him as hard as I could I was crying hysterically out of joy!

I had no idea he had planned on doing this! But I am thrilled he did!

My fiancé proposed to me on Thanksgiving and arranged for all my family to be there and waited until we were finished eating. Then it was time for the pumpkin pie, (that is my favorite part about Thanksgiving is to eat my grandma's pumpkin pie).

My family told me I had to wait because my stepdad was going to serve us so I went and watched TV. Then Brent came into the room with a whole pie in his hand (I was thinking I only wanted a piece) then he knelt down and I saw my ring sticking in the middle of the pie. It was great, the best part was my grandfather was able to come. He was sick and he recently past away.

My fiancé proposed to me online. We had spent several occasions talking about how we wanted to be together for all time. On this one particular night I was telling him how romantic it would be to get engaged on the beach. Then he said how about now and professed his love for me and asked if I would marry him and I said yes. He wants a millennium wedding and I am in the process of moving to him now. (All this without even a pic of either of us).

Name and location unknown

My fiancé, Andrew, first took me to Zagat's number one rated restaurant, Auriello, for dinner. After dinner, he secretly took me to a heliport on the West Side, were we boarded a helicopter.

As we took off into the night, I was amazed by all of the sights, not knowing that Andrew was taking a ring out of his pocket. We sat in front with the pilot so that he could direct my attention out the window. Exactly when we reached the Statue of Liberty, the pilot stopped and hovered above it. That was when Andrew took out the ring and proposed to me.

At that moment, the pilot handed me roses and another employee of the heliport who was seated behind us, gave us each a glass of champagne and took numerous pictures of us. When we left the helicopter, we were met by a standing ovation of the other employees and also guests waiting to board the helicopter. We were then allowed to re-board the plane to take many pictures both inside and out.

When we calmed down a bit, we drove to his parents house to share the news, not knowing that our entire families we already there waiting for us with champagne in hand.

It was the greatest day of my life.

My fiancee and I met on the Internet and have quickly grown close although we still have yet to meet face to face. One night we were in a chat room just like we were almost every night, when I typed to her, "Would you like to marry me?" She types back, "uhhh...yeah ok, sure :)" *I type back, "You realize I'm serious, don't you?" That's when it first hit's her I really was asking her to marry me. So she gives an enthusiastic YES!!! About a week later she received her engagement ring in the mail.

We had been looking at rings the night before—just for the fun of it, I thought. The next day we were making lunch and we realized we were missing one ingredient so he said he would go to the store. It was taking him a really long time so I tried calling his cell phone but got no answer. I was so afraid that he had gotten into an accident, but he finally got home and he just said that he saw someone at the store and they got to talking.

We met my parents for drinks that afternoon and he pulled my father aside to ask him if he could take my hand in marriage...so sweet, I can't believe that he knew that he should ask him!

That night we were cooking supper and I took off my other rings because I didn't want them to get messy. He grabbed them and told me he would put them in their boxes so that I wouldn't lose them. He put the engagement ring in his pocket when he went to the bedroom. We were having some wine with our dinner and he said that he wanted to do a toast...to marriage. At first I didn't think anything of it, but then I realized that he had a ring in his hand!

I bawled for about two days straight I was so excited. Here we are, still completely and totally in love.

There was no actual proposal; when we met we had both been through so much in our previous marriages. We were instantly drawn to each other and were inseparable from day one..Everyone who saw us knew we were meant to be together, forever and we agree,it's a foregone that a marriage would be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow....

Valentine's Day 2000... The whole night was a surprise. I didn't know what we were doing or where.

We went on a dinner cruise for 3 hours, around San Diego Bay San Diego Excursions was the line. Great food, and dancing. The when it was over he said he still had another surprise, and we went to the Hyatt downtown. I though we were going to have a couple drinks at the lounge at the top, but instead we had a room there. I walked in and the room was full of candles, and champagne on ice, chocolate covered strawberries.

He made a tape of our favorite love songs and he put "Amazed" by Lonestar at the beginning and as we danced in the candlelight, He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. All I could do was nod my head yes. I was so happy I was in tears. Perfect light, music, and place. It was all so overwhelming.
